Hair Mineral Analysis Practitioner
Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis & Nutritional Balancing
Meet the Practitioner
Hello, I’m Koay Yih Zi, founder and practitioner at Health Balancing.
My work centres on Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) and nutritional balancing, with a focus on understanding how the body adapts to stress, depletion, and long-term imbalance. My interest in this field began through my own health challenges and recovery using nutritional balancing principles. Experiencing firsthand how restoring mineral balance can influence energy, resilience, and overall wellbeing shaped the way I now support others.
I hold a Diploma in Nutritional Balancing Science from Westbrook University (USA) and have completed advanced training in Nutritional Balancing Science. I am also currently training to become a Certified Functional Nutrition Practitioner (IFNCP) and am a certified nutrition coach through Precision Nutrition.
How I work
At Health Balancing, I integrate HTMA-based insights with functional nutrition principles to support mineral balance, energy regulation, and gradual restoration. Rather than using one-size-fits-all protocols, my work is guided by each person’s unique biochemistry, stress patterns, and current capacity to heal.
This work is not about pushing the body or chasing symptoms. It’s about creating the right conditions for healing to unfold gradually, at a pace your system can sustain.
My recommendations may include:
- Personalised mineral balancing protocols
- Food guidance tailored to your metabolic and stress patterns
- Targeted supplements based on your individual results
- Lifestyle adjustments that support recovery and nervous system balance
The emphasis is always on long-term, sustainable support, not quick fixes or aggressive intervention.
A supportive, individualised approach
I believe healing works best when it is paced, personalised, and respectful of where the body is. Many people I work with arrive feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or frustrated after trying multiple approaches that didn’t help—or made things worse. I understand that experience, and I approach this work with care, realism, and steadiness.
Support is provided through clear written guidance and email-based follow-up, allowing you to move at your own pace and revisit information as needed. This format is especially supportive for those dealing with fatigue, burnout, or limited capacity, where pressure and urgency can interfere with recovery.
My role is to help you understand your results, support your body’s rebuilding process, and guide you forward in a way that feels manageable and grounded. This work is collaborative, thoughtful, and centred on listening to the body rather than forcing it.
